College Algebra Teaching Assistant

Teaching Certifications: CRLA 1

Teaching and designing three mandatory 1-hour recitation sessions per week for 29 students, with the section achieving the highest performance among the professor's sections.

Providing weekly office hours for individualized support, helping students strengthen foundational skills and improve course performance.

Collaborating closely with the course professor by attending all lectures, and integrating evidence-based pedagogy into instruction by completing bi-weekly training workshops on teaching strategies and student engagement.

NSF ExLENT Mechatronics & Robotics Training
NSF ExLENT Program ↗  ·  Michigan Technological University

Completed a five-month NSF experiential learning program combining virtual training and in-person engineering labs, developing hands-on expertise in electrical systems, robotics, PLCs, automation, and mechatronics integration.

Engaged with industrial partners to understand real-world applications of robotics and automation, and built multi-component mechatronics projects demonstrating system-level problem solving.

Data Analytics Challenge — Second Place
Great Minds in STEM  ·  Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions  ·  San Diego, CA

Collaborated in a team-based machine learning competition focused on data analytics and predictive modeling.

Led model selection — a gradient boosting model — and hyperparameter tuning, achieving an R² score of 0.98.

Awarded 2nd place, finishing within 1 × 10⁻⁶ of the top score.

Fall 2024
Information Technology Intern

Applied security updates and patches to improve organizational cybersecurity posture.

Provided hardware, software, and network troubleshooting support for internal teams, and assisted with system maintenance and technical documentation for engineering workflows.
